در اعتراض به نقض حقوق بشر در ایران شبکه ایی از نهادهای حقوق بشر تجمعی اعتراضی در تاریخ 15 تا ۱۷ فوریه ۲۰۱۰ در مقابل مقر سازمان ملل در ژنو بر گزار می کنند.

سوئیس، ژنو، ۲۸ ژانویه ۲۰۱۰: ائتلافی از سازمانها و گروههای مدافع حقوق بشر از شورای حقوق بشر سازمان ملل (UNHRC) درخواست می کند تا در بررسی ادواری جهانی (Universal Periodic Review) ایران در تاریخ ۱۵ فوریه ۲۰۱۰، وضعیت حقوق بشر در ایران را محکوم نماید. این گروه همچنین درخواست می کند تا رهبران مسؤول ایران، به خاطر نقض نظام مند و گسترده حقوق بشر، و جنایت علیه حقوق بشر، بوسیله ارجاع پرونده از شورای امنیت سازمان ملل، به دادگاه جنایی بین المللی کشانده شوند.
وضعیت حقوق بشر ایران در هفتمین اجلاس بررسی ادواری جهانی شورای حقوق بشر سازمان ملل متحد در تاریخ ۱۵ تا ۱۷ فوریه بررسی خواهد شد.
سازمانهای حقوق بشر بین المللی مدتهاست که ایران را به دلیل زیرپاگذاشتن قوانین بین امللی حقوق بشر درج شده در میثاق بین‌المللی حقوق مدنی و سیاسی و میثاق بین‌المللی حقوق اقتصادی، اجتماعی و فرهنگی، که ایران امضا کننده آنهاست، مورد انقاد قرار داده اند. فعالان حقوق زنان، روزنامه نگاران، فعالین حقوق کارگری، روشنفکران، دانشجویان، اقلیتهای جنسی، اقلیتهای مذهبی و قومی و فعالان حقوق بشر به طور دائم تحت آزار و اذیت، تبعیض، تعقیب، بازداشت غیر قانونی، حبس و شکنجه قرار می گیرند. از زمان اعتراضات به انتخابات ریاست جمهوری در ۲۲ خرداد ۱۳۸۸، وضعیت حقوق بشر در ایران به نقطه بحرانی رسیده است: معترضان خودجوش به نتایج رسمی انتخابات به طور خشونت باری سرکوب شده اند؛ صدها تن از شهروندان معترض بی سلاح در خیابانها کشته شده اند، هزاران نفر دیگر، از جمله اصلاح طلبان، دانشجویان، روزنامه نگاران و مدافعین حقوق بشر به طور غیر قانونی بازداشت شده اند. تعداد بسیار زیادی از معترضان و مخالفین سیاسی توسط دادگاههای انقلاب به طور غیرعادلانه ای محاکمه و تعدادی از آنها به اعدام محکوم شده اند.
در پاسخ به این فجایع، این ائتلاف نامه هایی رسمی را به اعضای دائم دفتر سازمان ملل در سوئیس با طرح خواست های ذیل ارسال نموده است:
۱. درخواست از ایران برای پذیرفتن بازدید بازرسان مربوطه سازمان ملل به منظور بررسی زندانها و زندانیان
۲. شناسایی مسؤولین جنایات علیه بشریت و مسببین نقض حقوق بشر در ایران و کشاندن آنها به دادگاههای بین المللی بوسیله ارجاع پرونده از شورای امنیت سازمان ملل
۳. گماردن هیئتی ویژه برای نظارت بر وضعیت حقوق بشر در ایران
در این موقعیت بغرنج، این ائتلاف اجرای موارد فوق را تنها راه اصولی و واقعی برای دفاع و حمایت از حقوق شهروندان ایرانی می داند.

International Coalition Demands the Human Rights Council to Condemn Iran for Its Systematic Human Rights Violations and Call for Release of all Political Prisoners
GENEVA, Switzerland, January 28, 2010 – An international coalition of human rights advocacy groups and organizations is demanding the United Nation Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to condemn the state of human rights in Iran during the upcoming Universal Periodic Review of Iran on February 15, 2010. The group is also demanding that the Iranian leaders responsible for the widespread and systematic violation of human rights and crimes against humanity, be brought before the International Criminal Court by a referral of the UN Security Council.
The situation of human rights in Iran will be reviewed at the 7th session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the United Nation Human Rights Council (UNHRC), between February 15-17.
Iran has long been criticized by international human rights organizations for its persistent and extensive flouting of its human rights obligations under ICCPR and ICESCR. Women’s rights activists, journalists, trade unionists, intellectuals, students, sexual minorities, religious and ethnic minorities, and human rights activists are routinely subject to harassment, discrimination, persecution, arbitrary arrest, detention and torture. Since the disputed June 12 presidential elections of 2009, however, Iran’s human rights situation has reached a critical point of human suffering and destruction: the spontaneous protests denouncing the official result of the election have been violently repressed; hundreds of unarmed civilians protesting in the streets have been killed, and thousands more have been arbitrarily arrested including reformers, students, journalists and human rights defenders. Dozens of protestors and political opponents have been unfairly tried before Iran’s Revolutionary Court and some have been sentenced to execution under the death penalty.
In response to this crisis, the coalition has mailed official letters to permanent missions of all state members to the United Nations Office in Geneva, urging them
۱. to call on Iran to consent to visits to Iran of all relevant Special Procedures mandate-holders for purposes of inspecting the condition of prisons and prisoners in Iran
۲. to initiate an investigation to identify those responsible for massive human-rights abuses; and to bring them before the International Criminal Court by a referral of the UN Security Council
۳. to re-establish a special body for monitoring the human rights situation in Iran
The coalition insists that at this crucial juncture, the fulfillment of the above demands provides the only principled and realistic way to advocate and protect the rights of Iranian civilians.
